HOUGHTON, KUSKONOOK, KUTETI - GEOTECHNICAL HAZARDS

Potential increase in level of risk of geotechnical hazard events for properties in the vicinity of wildfires

The Provincial Ministry of Forests has provided information to the Regional District of Central Kootenay that within the Kootenay Lake and Arrow/Boundary Forest Districts there is increased risk of geotechnical hazard events as a result of wildfires in recent years.  Property owners are advised to inform themselves and take appropriate actions to protect their property against the increased risk.
